Only a few short miles from La Grande is Lehman Hot Springs, stop by to enjoy a relaxing soak. The naturally heated waters flow out of the mountain and have long been known for their healing properties. It is about 45 minutes from La Grande deep in the forest.
Don’t miss a visit to Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. The campus is beautiful and has many nice brick buildings. There is a disc golf course and many nice places to sit. EOU features great sports, theater, art galleries and more!
Check out Ten Depot Street Restaurant while in town for some great prime rib. If it's Tuesday, you will likely hear music from a couple of talented local gentlemen, Dr. Carter & Dr. Minogue, jamming on guitar and harmonica to classical songs and old blues. The music starts at 8pm. If it's Thursday night you might find any number of regional musicians playing. The show starts at 8:30 and is always good.
One of the newest editions to La Grande is the Satellite Galley and the Cold Coffee Media Studio located in downtown La Grande on Depot Street. Just the kind of company La Grande needs, Cold Coffee Media is dedicated to connecting Eastern Oregon to the rest of the world through the internet. The Satellite Galley provides a trendy setting for local artists to display their work. The Indy Hipster revolution in the valley will sure begin there. Check it out!
