La Grande Music Scene | La Grande Oregon Things to Do
La Grande has a great music scene for the size. Eastern Oregon University supplies lots of new musical talent in the form of rock bands, choir, and classical shows. There are several great La Grande area bands which play often.

City of Animals is a local band who plays all original hits. Their style is folky, rocky, funky; just all around great. Don't miss them!
Sons of Guns is another great local band. Comprised of longtime buddies Mike Surber, Greg Rawlins and Luke McKern, this rock band plays original tunes in a great style. Every performance is sure to entertain!
Several other local bands include the solo style of Brent Smith, the craziness of Sharkpig, and the rocking blues of Jimmy Loyde Rea.
Where to listen?
Ten Depot Street Restaurant and Bar is probably the best venue for music in town. They have tunes every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm, and on some Saturdays.
The Mt Emily Ale House is an up and coming La Grande Music Venue with a great upstairs bar area and large dance floor. They have music every Saturday (and movies every Wednesday!).
Liquid Lyrics is located in 110 Depot Street and they have great shows from time to time featuring locals and out of towners. Check the window for show times.
